Our Goal
Every member consultancy verified against the same standard, every applicant guided by counselling that puts their outcome ahead of a commission, and a documented pathway from first enquiry to arrival in Japan that a student and their family can check for themselves — through the directory, not a promise.

Questions We're Often Asked
How do I know a consultancy is a genuine JEPAN member?
Every verified member is listed in our public directory with their registration details. If a consultancy is not listed there, they are not a current JEPAN member — check before you commit to anyone.
How long does the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and visa process usually take?
It varies by school and season, but most students should plan for 3 to 6 months from a complete application to a decision. Your consultancy will give you a timeline specific to your case.
Can I apply for membership if I am not yet a registered consultancy?
JEPAN membership is for already-registered educational consultancies. If you are still setting up, write to the secretariat first and we can guide you on what is needed before you apply.
Does JEPAN charge students directly for anything?
No. JEPAN is an association of consultancies, not a service provider to students. Any fees are agreed directly between you and the consultancy you choose to work with.
What happens if I have a complaint about a member consultancy?
Write to the secretariat through the Contact page with your consultancy's name and details. Every member agrees to our counselling standards as a condition of membership.
